i took the .ttf used by the test project that came with the engine (Abduction, A Damn Mess) and put them in a newly created project, the CCLabelTTF creates the string with the correct fonts. When I tried to use my own ttf (added into the same resource folder as where i added the sample fonts mentioned earlier), it is unable to display the text with the right font, although no error was thrown. Is there a criteria to how the font file has to be named?
sorry, resolved. filename had to be exact same as the font name for ttf to work.
