I am curious about the origins of cocos2d-x. I know it was a port of the Objective-C cocos2d, which was itself a port of the original Python cocos2d.
Was cocos2d-x originally developed in-house by China Unicom for the (now defunct) WoPhone? This first birthday post seems to indicate they were the original sponsor: http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/1st-birthday-of-cocos2d-x/
