I should have posted this months ago. Doodle Army using Cocos2d-x has been out on Android since December 2012 and since March 1st for Win 8.
I don’t have a Windows 8 arm build working yet. I also haven’t spent a lot of time trying. So we are just competing with the likes of Steam (e.g. vs. Surface which has to get apps from the store) such on desktop machines. Android is doing well enough there (Play and Amazon stores).
We used the latest 2.1 build from a while ago (2012) for Android and a highly modified/updated API version of the .11 metro version (http://cocos2d-x.googlecode.com/files/cocos2d-x-for-win8-0.11.0.zip)

Moving forward we will try the latest builds and see how many platforms it just works on. C++ shared code ftw!
