I would only use it on my CI machine to build. For this we already have a docker container described in this post below. It would of course be nice to have Cocos Creator team maintaining these docker containers and releasing new containers the same time a new version of Cocos Creator comes to support builds for that version.
We have similar plans to run cocos creator on linux as jenkins nodes to automate build process. Right now limited to use mac os nodes. Docker is a good point too, as we have specific games built for specific version of Creator. Able to let jenkins switch between docker images is a plus.
