Their explanation is that nobody uses UnityScript so there aren’t going to be a lot of people thinking in changing the engine just for that.
Well, millions of players play web games (made with JS) every day across the globe.
Phaser is dominating js games for now, but Creator is already a serious option.
This article also mentions
-That leaves 3.6% of all projects that have more than 20% of their code in UnityScript.
-Only 0.8% of all projects are exclusively (i.e. 100%) in UnityScript.
