Error "EACCES: permission denied" on mac when creating new project

Hi all,

on my new mac I am facing this error when creating new project just after installation of Cocos creator v2.1.3:

EACCES: permission denied, open '/Applications/CocosCreator.app/Contents/Resources/static/default-assets/effects/__builtin-editor-gizmo-line.effect.meta’

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Reinstallation with sudo helped.

You shouldn’t have to do this, under normal permissions. What the user account already in the admin group? Have you tried Repairing file and disk permissions in Disk Utility?

Thanks for reply. I have not tried the “Disk utility”.
The Mac environment is quite new for me, I think my account is not in admin group.

But if you can sudo…you wouldn’t be able to without having permission to do that or knowing an admins password.

Maybe the __builtin-editor-gizmo-line.effect.meta file is damaged. Use the file below to replace it.
