Are there markets like Steam in China? And has anybody published games to China markets?

I think one major alternative is Tencent but it was reported that a major game freeze since march 28 is affecting publishing game onto Tencent although, Tencent is reinvigorating its gaming platform to international level through its flagship new service “WeGame” to give steam a real challenge.
