What is better for creating the scene?

This

CCScene* HelloWorld::scene()
{
    // 'scene' is an autorelease object
    CCScene *scene = CCScene::node();

    // 'layer' is an autorelease object
    HelloWorld *layer = HelloWorld::node();

    // add layer as a child to scene
    scene->addChild(layer);

    // return the scene
    return scene;
}

Or this?

CCScene* HelloWorld::scene()
{
    CCScene * scene = NULL;
    do
    {
        // 'scene' is an autorelease object
        scene = CCScene::node();
        CC_BREAK_IF(! scene);

        // 'layer' is an autorelease object
        HelloWorld *layer = HelloWorld::node();
        CC_BREAK_IF(! layer);

        // add layer as a child to scene
        scene->addChild(layer);
    } while (0);

    // return the scene
    return scene;
}

We call the 2nd approach as “Defensive Programming”. This habit will keep the source safer.
