Latest version of cocos2d-x crashes on web socket connection

I had managed to deal with websockets nicely before git pull latest version of cocos2d-x today. :frowning:
I’m not family with gdb or MacOS dev, so this is my best effort to try to debug.

fyi, previous version of cocos2d-x had a crash whenever web sockets got closed, but with this build I get crashes whenever I try to connect! (WORSE)

Android claims a crash like below:
