Game loop in cocos2dx

Hi all

I have programmed at while in the SDL library, in it is much used the concept of game loop, in cocos2dx not very clear to as is handled game loop, who handles? when I add a sprite to a scene, i must not worry about how many times will be drawn on screen? Someone who I could explain or give a tutorial that explains this concept. From already thank you very much Javier.
