Cocosino a new tool create cocos2d-x games have been created

Hi all,

Cocosino have been released a brand new tool for creating games for android, ios ,browser using cocos2d-x technology.
This includes IDE,emulator, debugger . The project is still in alpha.

Check http://cocosino.org/ for more details.

Thank you Srikanth Chitturi for mention,

yes, we are working on easy to use IDE, integrating cocos2d-x and cocos2d-html. Also, we would like to “port” CocosBuilder to Windows and Linux. If you find this idea worthwhile, we will appreciate your contribution to Cocosino on KickStarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/881121752/cocosino . Also any spread of word to community is welcome

I think it’s a great idea!

I fiddled around with the alpha and, as alpha-ish as it may be, I found it awesome!

It’s a shame the kickstarter campaign didn’t turn out well. With 3 days to go and only 10% funding reached, what are you guys planning to do? Are you going to keep developing on your own? Are you gonna go open source? Will you run another campaign? Or what?

Hello Sebastion,

thank you for your support, but kickstarter wasn’t successful. You can download source code here: http://casperise.com:81/public. Personally I am not going to continue developing because of many reasons.

Wish you happy coding with cocos2d.

I see… That’s too bad to hear.

Have you guys thought about making an official github repo for the project and see if the community will pick it up and keep developing on it?

BTW, maybe the kickstarter only flunked because of lack of exposure? Althought it may be pointless to think about it now…

I didn’t really understand why this is needed, maybe others saw the same problem.

Just think about how the project could have grown. Wouldn’t you like to have an IDE that’d let you quicly test your game on different emulators and to compile it for the different platforms with just a click rather than having to go thru scripts manually?

what is the advantage over cocostudio? pr is the same?

What is “pr”?

I am unable to download the source anymore. does anyone have a copy that they can upload to github?
Thanks,
Nidhi.
