We just releases our first game. I’m very happy with my decision to use cocos2d-x for the game engine… first time programming anything substantial in C++, using this game engine was a gentle way to introduce me to that language, since it took care of a lot of the tricky stuff for me, like much of the memory management and the JNI… but as I got more comfortable with it, I could still extend it in whatever way needed. Anyway, here’s the game:
Demo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.brainface.switchfour and full version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.brainface.switchfourpro
It’s a 2d puzzle platformer… Magnar has stolen the stars from the night sky, and you have to get them back, jumping around the screen and toggling different platforms to reach the star.
Like I said, first game, so any feedback would be awesome! We want to get better at this.
